Honda FCX Clarity Drives Need for Hydrogen Highway
June 3rd, 2008 | by admin |The Honda FCX Clarity is going to be released to the market soon and everyone is watching how well the new technology is going to work. The Honda Clarity hydrogen engine is a unique type of green technology that requires special service and fueling stations. As a result, the Honda Clarity is only being released initially in the Southern California market where approximately twenty of these refueling stations exist. However, California is hard at work on building a hydrogen highway that will allow these cars to begin traveling further.
Honda Clarity Hydrogen Technology
The reason that everyone is so excited about this car is because the Honda Clarity hydrogen technology is something that’s new and something which has the potential to be huge. This hydrogen fuel cell technology can reduce air pollution and save drivers a lot of gas money.
California Highway for Honda Clarity
Because the Honda FCX Clarity is going to require unique fueling stations, California has had to step up to the plate in creating a network of gas stations to support the technology. The Hydrogen Highway is set to have 100 stations in the near future. These will initially support the Honda Clarity but will ultimately be good for other cars if hydrogen technology takes off.
The Spread of the Honda FCX Clarity
The hope is that the Honda FCX Clarity will prove that hydrogen technology can be successful. If it does, the California Highway will likely be extended to a nationwide network. This network would support the Honda Clarity hydrogen cars as well as any other cars based on the same hydrogen technology.
